Privacy Policy

Effective Date: April 19, 2026 | Last Updated: April 19, 2026

This Privacy Policy describes how Gynka ("Gynka," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, stores, and shares information when you use the Gynka mobile application, website (gynka.app), and related services (collectively, the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.

Gynka is a fitness and training intelligence product. It is not a medical device or medical service. The Service does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.

1. Who We Are

Gynka is the operator of the Service described in this Privacy Policy. For any privacy-related question or request, contact us at privacy@gynka.app.

2. Information We Collect

We collect information in three ways: information you give us directly, information generated automatically as you use the Service, and information we receive from third parties you authorize.

2.1 Information You Provide Directly

  • Account information: your name, email address, and password (or authentication token if you sign in with Apple or Google).
  • Profile information: your fitness category, experience level, primary training goal, training schedule, available equipment, body weight (if provided), and any injuries or physical limitations you disclose.
  • Training activity: the sets, reps, weights, rest periods, perceived exertion, and other performance data you log during workouts.
  • Readiness check-in data: your self-reported sleep hours, sleep quality, pain or discomfort, fatigue level, and muscle soreness.
  • Conversations with the AI coach: the messages you exchange with our AI coaching feature, including any information you choose to share in those conversations.
  • Payment information: processed by the mobile platform billing systems (Apple, Google) and our subscription management provider. We do not store your full credit card number or payment credentials on our servers.
  • Support communications: any information you provide when you contact us for help.

2.2 Information Collected Automatically

  • Usage data: how you interact with the Service, including screens viewed, features used, session duration, and app open frequency.
  • Device information: device model, operating system and version, unique device identifiers, crash logs, and performance data.
  • Approximate location: inferred from your IP address (country and region level). We do not collect precise GPS location.
  • Analytics and diagnostics: collected through trusted product analytics and error monitoring providers.

2.3 Information From Wearable Devices and Third-Party Health Platforms

If you choose to connect a wearable device or health platform — such as Oura Ring, WHOOP, Garmin, Fitbit, Apple Health, or similar — we receive health and activity data through our wearable data integration partner. This may include:

  • Heart rate variability (HRV) and resting heart rate
  • Sleep duration, sleep stages, and sleep efficiency
  • Daily activity, steps, and workout data
  • Recovery and readiness scores produced by your device provider
  • Other biometric and activity metrics made available by the connected platform

This data is only received when you explicitly connect a device and authorize the data flow. You can disconnect any connected device at any time in the app settings.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to deliver and improve the Service. Specifically, we use it to:

  • Create and personalize your AI-generated training programs.
  • Calculate your daily Gynka Score and adapt your sessions to your current readiness.
  • Track your training history, personal records, and long-term progress.
  • Power the AI coaching chat and respond to your questions.
  • Identify patterns in your training and recovery data to surface relevant insights.
  • Process your subscription, trial period, and billing.
  • Send you operational communications and, where permitted, product updates.
  • Monitor the performance, security, and reliability of the Service.
  • Comply with our legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.
  • Conduct research and analytics to improve existing features and develop new ones.

4.2 Legal and Safety

We may share information when we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to comply with a legal obligation, respond to a valid legal request, protect our rights, prevent fraud, or protect the safety of any person.

4.3 Business Transfers

If Gynka is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction.

4.4 With Your Consent

We may share your information for any other purpose with your consent.

5. Aggregated and De-Identified Data

We may create aggregated, anonymized, or de-identified data from the information we collect. This data does not identify you and may be used for any lawful purpose, including to improve the Service, produce statistical insights, and conduct research in the fields of fitness, exercise science, and human performance.

6. Data Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active and as long as reasonably necessary to provide the Service and comply with our legal obligations. If you cancel your subscription, we retain your training history and profile so you can resume without losing progress. You may request deletion of your account at any time.

7. Security

We take reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your information, including encryption in transit (TLS), encryption at rest for sensitive fields, role-based access controls, and database-level Row-Level Security. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. International Data Transfers

Your information may be transferred to, stored in, and processed in countries other than the one in which you reside, including the United States and the European Union. Where required by law, we put in place appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses.
